FBM206 is dedicated pulse input FBM module of Foxboro I/A Series Compact 200 I/O system, targeted at flow totalization, rotating speed monitoring and turbine pulse measurement scenarios widely adopted in power, petrochemical and offshore industries.
Equipped with 8 independent galvanic isolated pulse channels, each channel supports 7~27VDC two-wire pulse transmitters including turbine flow meters, vortex shedding flow meters, magnetic pickup speed probes and mechanical pulse contact switches. The module supports 10Hz to 25kHz full frequency range sampling, realizes zero missing pulse accumulation and frequency calculation with 0.01% reading accuracy, eliminating flow measurement deviation caused by high-speed pulse loss.
2500Vrms full channel isolation completely isolates field power noise and DCS internal logic circuit, multi-stage TVS surge protection prevents module burnout from miswiring short-circuit. Built-in per-channel real-time self-diagnosis detects open circuit, short circuit and abnormal pulse amplitude, fault data uploaded to DCS HMI synchronously with front panel LED visual alarm for rapid field troubleshooting without handheld testers.
Communicates with upper FCM gateway via redundant 2Mbps HDLC fieldbus, supporting master-tracker hot redundant pairing with another FBM206 to eliminate single-point failure risk of critical flow and speed loops.
